Luma — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 June 2026

The short version: Luma keeps everything on your phone. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. There are no accounts, no servers, and no analytics.

Who this applies to

Luma ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal wellbeing journal for new and expecting mothers. This policy explains how the app handles your information. It applies to the Luma app on iOS and Android.

What we collect

We do not collect any personal information. Everything you create in Luma — your journal entries, moods, kept affirmations, and any photos you add — is stored only on your own device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

No account, no cloud

Luma does not require an account, a sign-in, or an email address. It does not upload your content to any server or cloud service. Because your data lives on your device, we have no access to it.

Photos

If you add a photo to a memory, the app asks your permission to access your photo library. The photo you choose is copied into Luma's private storage on your device. Photos are never uploaded or shared by the app.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, the reminder is scheduled locally on your device. No information leaves your device to make this work, and you can turn it off at any time in the app or in your phone's settings.

No tracking or advertising

Luma contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking tools. We do not build a profile of you or share data with anyone.

Keeping and deleting your information

Your information stays on your device for as long as you keep the app. You can edit or remove individual entries within the app. Deleting the app from your device permanently removes the information stored in it.

Children

Luma is intended for adults. It is not directed at, or designed for, children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Not a medical service

Luma is a journaling and wellbeing app. It is not a medical, diagnostic, or crisis service and is not a substitute for professional care. If you need support, please contact a qualified health professional or a relevant helpline.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised version here.
